In Zak's own words

I have lived in Eastleigh for the past decade and am proud to call it home. I’m standing in this by-election because I believe our town deserves better. After 30 years of Liberal Democrat control at Eastleigh Borough Council, too many people feel things are going backwards. It’s time for a fresh start.

If elected, I will focus on the basics: fixing our roads, tackling antisocial behaviour, revitalising the town centre, protecting and investing in our green spaces, and fighting cuts to local bus services. I will push for stronger action on street cleaning, better support for independent businesses, and a real effort to bring pride back to our high street.

I also support Labour’s plans to reform local government. Replacing the borough and county council structures with a single unitary authority and a directly elected mayor would mean clearer accountability, better value for money, and stronger leadership for our community.

I’m passionate about making a real difference for Eastleigh; I hope I can count on your support.
