Green Party candidate for Mottingham
Active on State
I’m Jamie Tulacz and alongside Josh Thomas, I’m running to be one of Mottingham’s Green Party councillors. I work as a Risk and Assurance Analyst in the Pension industry. I've lived in the London Borough of Bromley for the last 2.5 years and have quickly fallen in love with this beautiful area and felt part of the community. Living in this area, I have quickly become aware of the issues facing Mottingham, and Bromley more widely, that have been left unaddressed for far too long by the Conservative run council. Speed limits in our neighbourhoods remain dangerously high, many suffer in precarious housing situations, our high streets are deteriorating, and low level crime often goes unaddressed. At the heart of this is a failure to invest in our communities. As Mottingham’s Green Party representative, I will work hard to address these concerns. A core principle of the Green Party is protecting our environment and green spaces. As a former volunteer of Friends of the Earth and Chair of my company's Planet Group, I understand the importance of ensuring that polluters are held accountable, in order to protect local areas. Our priorities in the Green Party in Mottingham go beyond environmental issues. Within Bromley we recognise that there are increasing housing issues and we will work hard to ensure that action to tackle rising homelessness, to provide affordable, sustainably developed housing as well as to provide stronger support for disability, mental health and addiction services within the borough. We will also continue pressing for greater funding for local government, so our communities receive the support they deserve. Our slogan is Real Hope, Real Change. Josh and I are here to prove that really works.
