Hinchley Wood, Claygate and Oxshott is a special place and it is one of the best in Surrey to live, work, retire and raise a family. That’s why Andrew Burley standing to be your next County Councillor: to protect what makes our villages great and fight for the services local people rely on. We are having this by-election after the sad passing of Cllr Mark Sugden. Mark was the very definition of a community champion, respected by everyone, regardless of politics. I’m honoured to have the chance to follow in his footsteps. But this election also matters for the future. The Liberal Democrats are already making damaging decisions at Borough level by cutting Meals on Wheels, shutting down community centres, and failing to deliver a local plan that protects our green spaces. We cannot afford to let them gain more ground at County Hall.
