David Beaman

David Beaman

Farnham Residents candidate for Farnham Castle

Farnham Residents

David has lived in Farnham since 2010 and has served the town on Farnham Town Council since 2011 and Waverley Borough Council since 2018, including as Chair of the Planning Committee and on the Executive. With over 35 years in the public transport industry - rising to Managing Director and working in both the UK and Hong Kong as Traffic Manager for China Motor Bus - he brings real, practical expertise to tackling Farnham's transport challenges. After returning to the UK, he ran his own small bus company in Dorset before retiring David is a Director and Trustee of Creative Response and a Disability Champion with the Local Government Association, and he believes local decisions should be made for local reasons, not shaped by national politics. His priorities for the new West Surrey are: • Delivering practical solutions to Farnham's traffic problems, including better bus services • Supporting new homes only on community backed sites with the right infrastructure
