Richard Peter Steijger

Richard is standing for election to Waverley Borough Council this May in the Weybourne ward. Richard has lived in Farnham with his family for nearly 20 years and works locally in environment services, while his wife works for the NHS. He's an active member of his local church, having helped to run the youth group, a Campaign for Real Ale member supporting local pubs and cheers on his children at local sports clubs. Richard's movitation to stand comes from wanting to give back to his local community and he's especially interested in contributing to a better living environment. Also, with the cost-of-living crisis, it is essential that Waverley provides residents with the best services in terms of quality and value-for-money.
