I am delighted to stand as a candidate for the Green Party in Denton South. Having lived in the area for over 10 years, I know how it feels to be left behind. I have been campaigning nationally for gambling reform since 2023. In my opinion, the gambling industry is one of the most blatant displays of a transfer of wealth from the most vulnerable in our communities directly into the pockets of billionaires. I have had first hand experience of politicians putting the interests of powerful lobby groups ahead of the people they are supposed to represent, and I am determined to fight back. I work full time in supply chain management, alongside my work with various gambling harm charities. I regularly help people who have been ignored to have their voices heard, whether this is in the media or in parliament. This is what I want to do for the people of Denton South. For too long, our votes have been taken for granted by the Labour Party. We proved recently that we won’t be taken for granted any more. Vote Green in May for a Councillor who cares.
