Councillor Candidate
Joseph Andrejs Adamson

Joseph Andrejs Adamson

Labour candidate for Stubbington

Labour

Hi! I'm Joseph Andrejs Adamson, I'm a local lad whose lived in Stubbington my entire life and i'm looking to give back to my home. I attended the University of Southampton where I graduated with a BSc in Politics, and have taken these skills into community work back home, where I founded a campaign to Save the Stubbington Study Centre, of which the community effort was magnificently successful - not just saving the centre for now, but for the future and rallying against Hampshire County Council's austerity policies. I'm looking to give back in an official capacity, and I hope you can trust me with the privilege of representing my home. As your Prospective Labour Councillor I make these pledges to you. I will: -Act with honesty and integrity, and be responsible, visible and accessible to all residents; -Keep an eagle eye on the budget and other financial reports to ensure that your money is spent wisely in providing public services whilst keeping council tax as low as possible -Lobby for all council meetings to be streamed live and recorded for catchup, to ensure greater transparency in decision making; -Support applications to the government's social and affordable housing programme to increase the provision of genuinely affordable homes for rent and to buy for local residents, whilst respecting our precious green spaces; -Work with Surfers against Sewage and others to hold Southern Water to account, for their repeated discharges of untreated sewage into our bathing waters. I hope to meet you soon. Promoted by D Rodgers on behalf of Joseph Adamson and Hill Head and Stubbington Labour c/o 179 Forton Road, PO12 3HB.
