In Kevin's own words

Originally, from Melbourne Australia, Kevinarrived in Southampton on a passenger ship in 1973 on his quest to fulill a childhood dream of seeing the world. Following his marriage to Hazel, they eventually settled in Alverstoke in 1984 and have two daughters. Kevin's working career started in Australia as a civil engineering draftsman. His travels eventually lead him to a 4o-year career in the offshore oil industry working all round the world as a professional diver. He retired in 2016 and Hazel recently retired from a long career in the NHS. History and heritage is Kevin's passion, so Gosport was the perfect place for him to settle. Due to his love of Stokes Bay, he has served on the Friends of Stokes Bay committee for 27 years and was recently appointed as Chair. He also serves on the Gosport Society Committee, Kevin has been the Diving Museum director since it opened in 2011 and serves on the Advisory Panel for the Southeast Museums Development and the steering committee for the Hampshire Military Museums Network. Kevin is GBC Heritage Champion, Vive Vhair of the Regulatory Board and member of the Economic Development and Policy and organisation Boards.
