Chris Stephenson
Social Democratic Party candidate for Heneage
Active on State
I was born and raised in Heneage Ward and most of my family still live in the ward today. I run a small business in North East Lincolnshire, so I understand the challenges local families and businesses face every day. Like many of you, I’ve grown frustrated with the current and previous administrations. We’ve heard plenty of words over the years, but seen too little real improvement. There comes a time when you have to try and make change happen yourself. That’s why I stood as the candidate for Great Grimsby & Cleethorpes in the 2024 General Election, and why I’m honoured to stand for election as your councillor for Heneage Ward on May 7th. If elected, my priorities will be clear and focused on what matters locally: Improve our community - I will work with local partners to tackle anti-social behaviour, crime and fly-tipping, and make Heneage Ward a cleaner and safer place to live and work. Local priorities - I will focus on the issues we can influence here in North East Lincolnshire Value for money - I will demand efficiency and fight for every penny of your council tax to be spent wisely. Working together - I will be your voice on the council and will work collaboratively with councillors of any party in the interests of the people and businesses of Heneage Ward and North East Lincolnshire, not in the interest of party politics. I believe we can do better. We deserve better. While serving the ward I will also hold the ruling party to account where necessary, while always seeking common ground and cooperation where it benefits local residents. Heneage deserves a strong, independent-minded councillor who puts this community first. I’d be honoured to have your support on May 7th. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
