In Idee's own words

Dr Idee Charles is a dedicated urgent care doctor in the NHS, a community advocate, and a proud voice for East Marsh. She founded a local community organisation to support families, listen to residents, and improve health and wellbeing across the area she cares deeply about.

Driven by a lifelong commitment to service, Idee sees first hand how decisions made in government shape everyday lives. She understands the pressures facing families, the challenges in housing, and the need to create better opportunities for young people. Her work reflects both the resilience of East Marsh and the importance of ensuring the community is properly heard and represented.

Idee is standing as the Labour candidate to be a strong, compassionate voice for East Marsh, bringing people together and championing real change. She is also proud to be the first Black woman in North East Lincolnshire to stand in a local election, a responsibility she carries with humility and determination to represent everyone.

Passionate, approachable, and rooted in the community, Idee is committed to building a healthier, fairer future for East Marsh where every voice matters.
