In Heather's own words

Heather was born in the Mother’s Hospital in Hackney and has lived on the Pembury Estate since 2008. She works as a freelance education researcher, teacher and administrator. She is an active local campaigner, being a founding member of Morning Lane People’s Space which is working to get our local Hackney Community voice heard in the proposals for the development of the 55 Morning Lane Tesco site. She was also one of the organisers of the Hackney Divest Camp for Palestine that occupied Hackney Town Hall Square for two months of 2024. She is active in her Residents Association. She is standing with the support of Hackney Green Party as a Hackney Independent Socialist member - a new political party that focuses on improving the lives of people in the borough.
