In Simon's own words

I have lived in Purbrook ward for the last 10 years and within the local area since 2006. Prior to this I have lived in Cairo, London and Aldershot. I am a Teacher in a Havant school and my daughter is currently attending a Havant secondary school. I am passionate about education and want the very best for our young people before, during and after their school years. In Havant I am very concerned that the Conservative majority of councillors have become complacent and take being re-election for granted. I want to see more opposition on the council to hold them to account. I think the best way to do this is with more Labour councillors. My priority is new homes. We need more affordable housing but this needs to be done with care for the environment and without building on the beautiful countryside that surrounds Purbrook. We need to make sure Havant council is run for the needs of all. Only more Labour councillors can make sure this happens.
