Steve Garelick
Labour candidate for West Drayton
I Have been a campaigner in Hillingdon for many years, and now work as an organiser for the trade union GMB focusing on areas including the gig economy and transport, including professional drivers. I have been a key figure rallying Uber drivers to fight for rights and recognition – all the way to the successful challenge at the Supreme Court. I am a strong campaigner and has proven his ability to achieve change. Some of my achievements locally have been two successful challenges to Telephone mast installations as well as a successful petition to seek changes on the B466. I chair and am a Trustee of the Ruislip Combined Charity, A Director and Trustee of Hillingdon Law center and sit on TUC LESE committees including Transport and International Affairs.. “I stood as a candidate in Charville in 2018 and 2021, and now I’m have been selected for Colham & Cowley.. Residents in large parts of the borough are not being listened to, and if elected, I vow to be their champion and their voice in Hillingdon. “I have a record as someone who stands up to injustice and if elected, I will do that diligently for the residents of Colham & Cowley.” Already as candidate I am advocating for issues that are being presented to me by residents ably assisted by my Labour group team members.
