In Waqar's own words

I am proud to call Central Ward in Rochdale my home. I am a local lad, born and raised in the very community I now seek to represent. Rochdale is not just where I live — it is where I grew up, built my life, and where my children are growing up today.

I work as a retail manager, bringing years of leadership, organisation, and frontline experience in supporting people and managing teams. I understand the challenges working families face because I live them every day. I am married and a proud father of four children — three daughters and one son — and like many parents in our ward, I want a safe, thriving, and opportunity-rich future for them.
