In Craig's own words

Dear Neighbour,

I am honoured to stand as your Conservative candidate for the St Ives South and Needingworth division. As someone deeply rooted in our community, I’m passionate about representing our shared interests and ensuring our voices are heard.

I’ve lived in St Ives for many years, raising my family here and seeing first-hand what makes our area special. I’ve served as a district councillor for Huntingdonshire District Council and as a Town Councillor for St Ives, where I was also privileged to serve as Deputy Mayor. These roles allowed me to contribute to our community’s growth and address local concerns.

Professionally, I’m an electrical hospital engineer at Addenbrooke’s, managing teams that deliver fast and effective solutions. My career is built on hard work, problem-solving, and collaboration – skills I’ll bring to the County Council.

Our area deserves a councillor who will fight for better infrastructure, improved roads, and enhanced support for schools and social care. I’ll also champion investment in skills and training opportunities, revitalise our town centres, and protect our community from overdevelopment.

This is my home – where my family, friends, and neighbours live. I will work tirelessly to deliver practical, positive change for our area.

If you have any concerns or ideas on how I can serve our community, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Craig Smith
