In Simon's own words

I am pleased to announce that I will be standing for re-election in the Cambridgeshire County Elections this May 2025. Serving as a County Councillor since 2013 has been an honour, and I remain dedicated to representing our community with pride, determination, and integrity.

This year marks 26 years since I made this community my home. Over that time, I’ve built a strong network of people, partners, charities, and stakeholders, allowing me to collaborate effectively and find practical solutions to local challenges.

As a former Royal Marine, Police officer & business owner, I am

passionate about low taxation and efficient service delivery, ensuring residents get the best value for their money.

Over the past four years, I have stood up for residents as part of theopposition party at the County Council. Despite challenges, including the poor state of our highways, I successfully helped reverse the misguided no-weed policy. I was also proud to play a key role in helping deliver Sawtry’s new 3G pitch, working with local stakeholders to secure funding and ensure this vital facility became a reality for residents and sports clubs alike.

Looking ahead, I will continue to ensure your concerns are heard,

especially when we face large-scale development proposals. It’s vital we have an experienced voice to challenge unnecessary projects and secure the infrastructure required to support any that proceed.

Thank you for trusting me to serve the Sawtry and Stilton Ward. I

encourage everyone to ensure they go out and vote on 1st May 2025 to re-elect me as your local champion.
