“Hey, I'm Lex, and I’m standing for Pendle and Clitheroe because I believe that our country has been let down by the two main parties, and the Liberal Democrats demonstrated in 2010 that they can’t be trusted either.”

“The Green Party is the only viable party to keep the next government in check, and I will put the constituency and its people above the political shenanigans we’ve witnessed over the years.”

“It's embarrassing that only 25% of the Levelling Up fund has been spent in the North, demonstrating once again that we're either forgotten about, or the North is just not cared about. A vote for the Green Party would be a vote for investment in the North of the UK, where we'd aim to tackle all of the problems the constituency currently faces:”

“- The Cost of Living for many on low wages and high levels of poverty especially of children.”

“- Shortage of affordable houses to rent or buy especially for young people and coupled trying to set up independent living.”

“- Fear of being made homeless by no fault evictions or foreclosure of mortgages.”

“- Failure to access NHS care when they need help now with a long waiting list to be treated.”

“- Lack of Social Care homes with enough staff, which is creating bed blocking in Hospital.”

“- Poor connected rail and bus transport, accessible to people on low incomes and those young people in isolated rural areas, who cannot afford their own means of transport.”

“The Green Party recognises these problems and it's why our main policies are around tackling the Climate Emergency by investing in green jobs and public services which will reduce the cost of living and increase the incomes of citizens.”

“This investment in people, services and the environment will be paid for by raising the money needed primarily from a wealth tax on rich people and windfall taxes from polluting private companies.”
