In Simon's own words

I am shocked, appalled, and quite frankly, scared, at the accelerating inequality and environmental breakdown unfolding before our eyes. So I feel that I must do something positive to support our community and our planet. That’s why I am standing to become a Councillor in Weetwood.

As your Councillor I will work to ensure that:

* the wealthiest pay their fair share

* our NHS and schools are protected

* we are kind to immigrants, instead of demonising them

* the natural world is prioritised

* the most vulnerable in society are looked after, and

* we put an end to politics-as-usual that is doing nothing to stop our declining living standards.

The Greens, and I, are here to provide a new, hopeful, kind politics that’s focused on solving our problems collectively.

If I become the next Weetwood Councillor I will stick up for my neighbours, and I will stand up to corporate interests.
