In Alexander's own words

Hi, I’m AJ, your Green Party candidate for Garforth and Swillington.

I’m a 21 year old undergraduate student at Leeds University, studying PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics). I enjoy sport, representing the university’s hockey second team, as well as playing in a 5-a-side football league.

I joined the Green Party because they’re the only party seriously challenging the status-quo and standing up to the rise of the far right. Unlike all other major parties they don’t accept donations from large organisations, and are thus free to produce policy based on integrity and morals.

In this polarised political landscape, the Greens offer hope and stability, and it truly is a privilege to be part of such a movement. Being a councillor is an opportunity for me to help improve and give back to this wonderful city which has given me so much.

I love Leeds, and it would be a true honour to work for and represent the people of Garforth and Swillington.
