In Bob's own words

Yorkshire deserves its fair share. Public spending in Yorkshire was £2,600 less per person than in London or Scotland in 2023. That’s a shortfall of over £14 billion across Yorkshire

How can Yorkshire get its fair share? We are campaigning for a Yorkshire Parliament with guaranteed funding, as in Scotland and Wales

Every vote for Yorkshire counts. The more votes we get, the more pressure it puts on Westminster to give Yorkshire what we’re owed

What could Yorkshire do with an extra £14 billion a year?

Build a West Yorkshire Metro - Metros have elevated and underground sections to cut through congestion, making them quicker and more reliable than trams. London has Crossrail and HS2. Yorkshire deserves world-class transport to create jobs and cut pollution.

Create jobs in local health, dental and social care - Waiting hours for ambulances or in A&E is unacceptable - as are the huge shortages in dentistry, social care and children’s services

Fight crime with more frontline police - Crime is rising and we need to prioritise prevention and detection

Rejuvenate derelict sites with greener homes - We need more homes to lower rents and prices. New homes should have solar panels and first-class insulation, existing homes need green subsides

Dr Bob Buxton - your local Yorkshire Party candidate. I live in Aireborough, I’m governor of a local primary school and teach engineering apprentices.

Let’s fill skills gaps and build a new workforce with specialist colleges in green technology, digital industries, education and health and social care.
