Markus Michelucci

Originally from Canada, Markus has lived in Sydenham for 12 years. He’s passionate about collective people power and community, particularly how it can bring about real change. He knows how important it is for people to be involved in the way their local community is organised and fostered. A musician and teacher, Markus has curated and hosted a community music night on the high street for the past four years, been involved with the Sydenham Arts Trail, and supported other local events throughout Sydenham and the wider area. He plans to improve green spaces, access to local services, and social housing. He wants to help make Sydenham & Lewisham a safe place for everyone. “I’m running because I love Sydenham and the people here. I want to make sure that our community is fully represented and that everyone’s voices are heard. I’ve spent years writing songs about hope, and I believe that with the Green Party, I can help bring those hopes to life.”
