Green Party candidate for Cann Hall
*About Eva* I am a committed member of the Cann Hall community and I want to step forward as its next councillor because I genuinely care about the place I call home. I believe local people deserve to be properly heard, and I am driven to ensure decisions reflect the real concerns and priorities of residents — not just a select few. Professionally, running an NGO that challenges the government on peace and security has strengthened my commitment to fairness, transparency and principled decision-making. My legal background enables me to scrutinise policy and contribute to informed decisions. I understand that national policies often shape local realities, and I believe strong representation means bridging that gap. I want to make a tangible difference in Cann Hall by ensuring residents are genuinely listened to, supported and represented in the decisions that shape their daily lives. *What Eva stands for* For me, being Green means working for a better quality of life for everyone in the Ward. Through my lived experience — as a policy and advocacy professional, a young mother and a renter — I know the challenges our community faces, where the Council falls short and how to build power for change. I have supported neighbours with immigration, housing, education and access to healthcare, helping people navigate complex systems and advocate for themselves. Now I want to take that energy into the Council chamber. I recognise that councillors must represent all residents, even where views differ, and I am committed to listening respectfully, communicating transparently and ensuring everyone understands their rights and options. I am ready to embrace the workload — casework, scrutiny and community engagement — and I will use my voice to stand up for justice, locally and globally. Free Palestine.
