In Rachel's own words

**About Rachel **

I have lived in Waltham Forest all my life and am very much aware of the local issues. A graduate in Economics and Psychology, a postgraduate in Information Studies and having worked in public libraries for over 30 years, I have a strong interest in supporting education and protecting our local libraries.

I am keen on walking, cycling and sport and am passionate about helping both people and animals. I campaign for animal welfare, volunteer as an animal rescuer for London Wildlife Protection and set up the Waltham Forest Animal Protection group.

**What Rachel Stands For**

"I am excited about the prospect of helping to give a green voice to Waltham Forest. I would like to see the area become safer, with quieter streets, more green spaces, cleaner air and good public transport. It is essential that we protect the planet on behalf of future generations and tackle challenging issues such as pollution and climate change.

The Green Party is committed to a fairer society, providing wellbeing and prosperity to everyone, in harmony with nature.
