Green Party candidate for Ardwick

Green Party

Alex-Salik Imran is a student Nurse and union representative for the Royal College of Nursing. As the Green Party candidate for Ardwick this year, he is committed to standing up and fighting for local residents in Ardwick. Candidate Statement: Ardwick has given me so much, a community, friends, and opportunities. Now I want to give something back. I’ve been inspired by the work many local residents groups, faith organisations and charities do in the local area. These groups help to hold the area together and give people real hope. I also understand that tackling the things that make daily life harder than it should be are a priority for our communities. Commuter traffic cutting through our streets, cars blocking residential estates and the persistent fly-tipping. As a student nurse, I see first-hand what broken glass, overflowing bins, and toxic air actually do to people’s bodies and wellbeing. These aren’t just eyesores. They’re health hazards. And Ardwick deserves better. A cleaner, greener healthier ward is what I’ll be fighting for locally. Vote Green in Ardwick this May!
