Beth Hartness

After spending my time volunteering in my community, I discovered that some problems are too big for charities or community initiatives to solve. We need progressive policies and to put people who care into positions of power. That is my aim over the next four years, to make choices on behalf of the residents of Withington and the wider city that defend their interests from those of companies who have been extracting wealth from us for decades now. I also wish to engage with the community to impower residents to get involved in local democracy and help people understand the systems that are supposed to serve them.
