PRIORITIES FOR KEELE

RESOLVING THE PARKING PROBLEMS THAT PLAGUE KEELE – we need action from the County Council now, and a long term solutions to student parking. Alongside a residents’ parking zone in Keele, the Borough and County Councils, Keele University, and Bus companies must get together to ensure the public transfer links into Keele actual serve the needs of Keele - at the moment they obviously do not.

FIGHTING FOR PEPPER STREET AND QUARRY BANK RESIDENTS – Keele Homes have consistently failed to meet their obligations to Keele - this cannot be allowed to continue.

RESISTING INAPPROPRIATE DEVELOPMENT IN KEELE – the JLP, produced under the watch of both Labour and the Tories, proposes large scale development on Keele Golf Course. These plans come with no thought for wildlife, or infrastructure. We need building which directly serves the needs of Keele - the JLP currently pays little concern to the needs of Keele.

SUPPORT KEELE CAMPUS RESIDENTS - 20 month contracts for new residents, rental increases that outstrip staff wage rises, and developments on campus, have left campus residents feeling like they are not valued by the University - this needs to
