In David's own words

Dave Cook is a retired Lecturer in Medical Science, and a former School Governor. He served as a Councillor for the Lemington ward for 12 years, and has lived in the Outer West for over 50 years so knows what it takes to be a councillor and local champion. Although not born in Newcastle, he is an adopted Geordie with a Geordie family. Dave is President of a Local Cricket Club, and an administrator in the local cricket league. He has a keen interest and involvement with grass-roots sport, having played football and hockey with local teams when younger. After retirement he continued as a hockey umpire.
