In Toby's own words

Toby lived on St Mary’s Road and Fairacres Road for years. He’s living on his narrowboat on the Oxford Canal these days, and he’s passionate about improving housing, transport, and access to nature for everyone in our city.

Toby says: “I am standing for election to Oxford City Council because I want to tackle the climate crisis, campaign for rent controls, and speak up for our community and green spaces.”

“We need to reduce pollution, create safe liveable streets, and have roads, cycle routes, and a public transport system that work for everyone.”

“I’m a trade union organiser and the former President of the Oxford & District Trades Council. This is the approach I want to bring to our local politics. I’ll stand against top-down decisions and work to empower everyone to help make East Oxford and our city the very best it can be.“
