In Cristina's own words

Cristina Palamini (she/they) is standing as a Green Party candidate because she believes Oxford has the talent and resources to be a greener, fairer city — and that what’s needed now is the political will to act. She cares deeply about Oxford as a place to live, work and build a future, and believes local politics must be rooted in fairness, sustainability and long-term thinking.

She has lived in Oxford for five years. As an immigrant to the UK, she was drawn by the openness of the community and is committed to keeping Oxford a city where people from all backgrounds can belong and build secure, fulfilling lives.

She has been politically active throughout her life as an activist, motivated by climate action and social justice. As an Italian, she brings a strong awareness of the risks of complacency in the face of extremism and believes Oxford needs bold leadership to address the climate emergency, the housing crisis and the cost of living.

She works as Chief Product Officer at an education technology start-up focused on widening access to learning, bringing a commitment to practical, evidence-based solutions alongside the ambition needed to deliver real change.
