In Zelalemawee's own words

Zelalemawee Asheber (he/him) is running for Walton Manor because he wants to ensure, by implementing the Green manifesto, that not only does Walton Manor remain a beautiful place to live but becomes more affordable too.

Zelalemawee is currently doing a PhD in antibiotic resistance research at the University of Oxford. He pursued this work because of a long-term motivation to help others that is derived from a gratitude for the selfless care of his mother and an awareness of the current unmet needs of people in this country and abroad.

By working to improve those inadequate conditions, it allows him to do as Sylvia Pankhurst wrote: ‘It came to me as a challenge: seek to obtain for others the care you had.’

For the exact same reason, he wants to work just as hard for his local area, Walton Manor.
