I’m standing for election because I believe local politics works best when it puts community first. I’m a local lad, and I want to give back to the community that has given so much to me. I’ve spent the last few years representing young people across Barnsley, listening to their concerns and helping make sure their voices are taken seriously. That experience has shaped how I see democracy by ensuring decisions made with residents, not done to them. Although I’m young, I care deeply about this area and the people who live here. I bring energy, commitment, and a genuine desire to listen and work alongside others to make a real difference. If elected, my priorities are clear: - Putting community first in every decision, - Supporting our brilliant community groups and volunteers - Keeping pride in our towns and villages, with clean, safe streets and well-looked-after public spaces - Promoting co-operative values, so people have a real say in the things that affect their everyday lives I believe politics should be about fairness, participation and trust. It shouldn’t just happen at election time, and it should always be rooted in the everyday lives of local people. I’m standing as a Labour candidate because those values reflect how I want to serve you, by working together, strengthening communities, and making sure no one is left behind. I hope to earn your support and have the chance to represent our area with honesty, hard work and pride.
