Dave Downie
Independent candidate for Budshead
I have decided to stand as an Independent candidate to represent our community on the Council. As an Independent, I do not have a political party telling me what to do, meaning that I can and will do whatever is best for our community. If elected, I promise to - Encourage community events that everyone can enjoy. - Push for resurfacing and thorough repairs on roads. - Trial parking strategies to reduce pavement parking. - Push for more Inclusive play areas - Work with local agencies to provide more opportunities for our young people. - Support and promote the rebuilding of the community space at Derriford Church. - Fight for fly tipping to be cleared promptly. A strong community is built on respect, cooperation and shared responsibility. With your support, we can continue building a place where everyone feels valued and heard.
