In Hugh's own words

I have lived in this ward for nearly 25 years and for many of them I have asked for the Hoe foreshore to be cleaned, made safe and re-opened to the public - for years Labour and Conservatives have kept it shut. What kind of image is that for visitors? The private sector is doing its bit on the Hoe (and the Parks Department does a great job up there) but now it's time for Councillors who will make a difference.

"I am passionate about the sea; to swim in, sail on, look at and provide power. I want Plymouth to lead the world in wave/tidal energy.

"What is planned for Mayflower 400?
