In Hytham's own words

Hytham Emam has lived in Tower Hamlets for eight years and is deeply committed to the borough’s future. A Civil Engineer with an MBA and over 20 years of experience in renewable energy and infrastructure, he is now a tech entrepreneur focused on cleaner transport & mobility. He is standing for the Green Party because he believes professional expertise should be used to solve the everyday challenges facing our community specifically:

1 - Improving new skills within youth and non-employed to get into new technologies and industries.

2 - Putting rent controls, reducing service charges and fixing the housing repair backlog.

3 - Making our streets and parks safer, cleaner and healthier for children.

Hytham Emam is passionate about using modern technology to make council services more transparent and responsive to residents’ needs. Beyond his professional life, he is an avid hiker and world traveller who values the global perspective that comes from exploring different cultures. He wants to bring that same energy and problem-solving mindset to the Town Hall, ensuring Mile End is a safe, sustainable, and forward-looking home where every resident can thrive.
