In Paul's own words

Paul has lived in Bethnal Green for the last 21 years, but traces his family history in the neighbourhood back to 19th-century Jewish migrants. A Green Party member for 16 years, he has been involved in environmental activism since he was a teenager, and now works in several voluntary roles to promote greener practices in the performing arts sector. Alongside his work as a theatre designer, he is artistic director at a queer-led theatre company and works with Muslim and Jewish creatives to run cross-cultural community storytelling and music events in the borough.
