In Sue's own words

Sue Wixley is a charity sector leader and award-winner campaigner and has lived in Merton & Wandsworth for more than 10 years. Alongside campaigning to stop Brexit, Sue has championed local causes, such as speaking out against failing children’s services in Wandsworth and backing community initiatives to make the constituency greener.

Sue has served as a trustee on three charity boards. Her 27 year-career in the voluntary sector spans human rights through to hospice care, international development through to health and social care. Sue played a major part in the International to Ban Landmines which was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997.

Sue is a passionate advocate for volunteering: "It brings enormous benefits to communities and the issues they care about and can be really rewarding for volunteers too.
