In Chris's own words

“I have lived in Hockley all his life, attended Hockley Primary then Greensward Academy before going on to have a successful career as a professional chef, working in some of the area’s most popular restaurants, pubs and hotels before moving into the care sector, cooking for people with severe disabilities & in supported living schemes”

"During the pandemic, as a key worker I travelled all over the county trying to source food for the Nursing home so that the resident always had meals during this difficult time. In 2023 I joined Hockley Parish Council and championed the Stand-up to Racism campaign in an effort to help combat a string of racist graffiti around Hockley and Hawkwell."

"When Hockley Station was being threatened with closure, I stood on the picket line with RMT members, spoke with the public and handed out leaflets, which help lead to the station being saved with over 800 people objecting to the closure."

"I have also had spent a number of years helping raise money for various charities through online platforms, such as Twitch and YouTube. As such I have raised thousands of pounds for charities such as Macmillan cancer support, Diabetes UK, Cats Protection League and Guide Dogs UK."

"Early this year I stood as the green candidate for Hockley for District Council elections, beating out Labour and only 170 votes behind the Conservatives. This was the first time a Green has ever stood in Hockley as showed that I can get results.
