Liberal Democrats councillor for Canbury Gardens

Active on State

Term started: 7 May 2026

Liberal Democrats

The reason why I am serving as a councillor is that I’ve always strongly believed in the sense of community and change from the ground up… not top down. These are more than words and are demonstrated by my actions of the past few years. 1. I have been serving on the committee of the Canbury and Riverside Association (CARA) and chaired those meetings. 2. I’m a regular contributed to CARA newsletters and occasional editor of the online newsletter. 3. I also sit on the Canbury Gardens Working Group which looks at all types of issues across the entire ward. 4. I am also a committee member of Friends of Canbury Gardens. 5. I also served on the Friends of Canbury Bandstand working group. 6. As well as working with all councillors, I have also been working with the police and have been part of the North Kingston Police Panel for the past three years. 7. I attend Voice of the River meetings and, 8. An active contributor to the ‘Drinkable Thames’ project. I am doing this to help the community of Canbury Gardens primarily, but also represent all constituents across the entire borough of Kingston Upon Thames.
