In Richard's own words

I’m Richard, your Green candidate in the May local council elections. I lived off Leppings Lane for 19 years and now live in Wadsley Bridge. I walk my son to Hillsborough Primary School and I’m passionate about improving this area, which I know very well. Hillsborough Greens are:

**Working for you year round**

I work alongside Green councillors Christine Gilligan Kubo, Toby Mallinson and Henry Nottage (standing down this year) to improve local people’s lives. Your councillors worked hard to get the 52A bus back and are pushing the Labour mayor for improved, reliable, bus services and proper maintenance of tram tracks.

**Supporting local communities**

Hillsborough Greens’ actively engage with the local community, supporting organisations doing good work in our communities and giving local people a voice. The climate emergency drives many of our actions.

I worked for local community service provider Zest for over a decade until recently. I want to use my experience gained from working in collaboration with the council and charities to help our communities, especially people struggling to pay their bills. Households have been let down by the Labour government.

**I will strive to get the best for Hillsborough by pushing forward positive change.**
