In Lara's own words

Hi Kursaal Ward,

I have lived and worked in the southend area for most of my life, As a hairdresser I actively talk to residents from all backgrounds and walks of life and feel I have a good grasp of what the people really want.

My main concern for this area is the amount of cell towers being erected, without informing the residents. This is part of the basic infrastructure for the plan of southend becoming a smart city, which is set to be complete by 2050. Of which residents also have had no voice in the decision to do so. No debate has been opened on how this will affect residents' lives, and health. There have been no risk assessments carried out, and many studies showing high risks of cancer and other health related issues, not to mention the impact they may have on housing prices in the future.

I feel we need to prioritize cleaning up the city visually and in regards to the violent crimes that are unmet by our police.

I chose to run under the Heritage party as they oppose 15 minute cities and low traffic neighborhoods. And I share their belief in ‘common sense thinking’

We need to stand together to invoke change. I need your vote, to be the voice for you, the people.

Is this you?
