James Vessey-Miller is the Green Party candidate for Chalkwell. Well-known as the former publican of the Railway Hotel, one of Southend's most-loved live music venues, James is also actively engaged in many Southend-based community arts organisations, also previously working as the Vice-Chair of Southend Pride. He has been a long-standing campaigner for Social Justice, better town planning, and transparent government. As well as being the Branch Coordinator of the local Green Party since 2018, James also works as one of the Green Party's staff in Westminster, working to get Greens elected across the country.
