Councillor Candidate
Emine Ibrahim

Emine Ibrahim

Labour candidate for Noel Park

Labour

I am the daughter of Cypriot immigrants and grew up on Noel Park Estate. I now want to fight for all the residents of this ward. My family council home on Farrant Avenue was the anchor and security that allowed me to thrive. I started out in the voluntary sector, moved into local government as a policy officer, and now represent public-sector workers as a Unison branch secretary. I have served as the Labour councillor for Harringay Ward since 2014 and am Chair of the Housing and Regeneration Scrutiny Panel. Education and library services were the key to my development. I was able to achieve this because of the hours I spent in Wood Green Library from the age of 11 in what was then an award-winning Teen Library.
