Independent candidate for St Neots Priory Park & Little Paxton
If you have not yet met me but have either questions or need assistance with any Council matter then please contact me and I will always help. I’ve been a Councillor in the Eatons for nearly two decades, my professional expertise is in management of large projects and before I became a Councillor I volunteered for ten years at Citizens Advice, with debt work and the homeless, often assisting local people facing serious problems. I have been elected Mayor of St Neots three times and have served in other years as the Town’s Deputy Mayor. I have experience as a District Councillor and County Councillor and have served on Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority but most relevant is having already helped many hundreds of local residents with Council issues. As a long standing member of the Eatons Community Association you may have seen me cooking at the May Day barbeque, at Christmas Carols on Eaton Socon Green or other events which raise money to support Eatons charities and community groups. I am also President of the Choral Society, which has regular concerts in St Mary’s Eaton Socon and may have met you there too or perhaps during a litter pick or when planting roadside daffodils or inviting passers by to view the Lock-up near Jubilee Hall! My wife and I have lived in the Eatons since 1978 and our children attended school with children of many other families here. Throughout my life I’ve watched our area grow and understand the need to deliver improvements to match that growth whilst preserving our community identity and heritage. I am genuinely passionate about where we live and totally dedicated to improving things, helping residents and getting more for our area. As an Independent candidate I don’t have political party funding for endless leaflets and would ask you to share this with friends and family. It contains just some of the things which I have already achieved for our community and some, which I am hoping you will give me the opportunity to complete as your District Councillor. Being a Councillor is about serving residents and should never be about imitating national party politics. That is why I am asking you to vote for me to continue serving residents of Eaton Ford and Eaton Socon. My Best wishes Barry Councillor Barry Chapman INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE ‘Putting people before politics’
