Two votes. Real issues. Real results. In the upcoming local elections, you will have TWO votes in the Loggerheads ward. This is a genuine opportunity to make your mark and elect local representatives who will stand up for this community. Your Conservative candidates - Graham Sedgley and Andrew Turnock - are committed to Loggerheads and understand the issues that matter most to residents here. They are campaigning on the things that directly affect your quality of life: Standing up for our rural communities. Residents across Loggerheads, Ashley and the surrounding villages are rightly concerned about increasing pressure from speculative housing developments that threaten the character of our rural communities. Our candidates will fight for a strong Local Plan that protects our villages from inappropriate development, safeguards our countryside, and ensures that any future growth is genuinely supported by infrastructure and shaped by local people rather than imposed from outside. Fixing our roads and tackling potholes. Poor road conditions and potholes have become a growing frustration for residents and motorists across our area. Roads and pavements are deteriorating and repairs have not always been carried out when they should be. Our candidates will continue pushing Staffordshire County Council for long-overdue highway improvements, ensuring potholes are Promoted by Paul Startin for Staffordshire Conservatives and printed by Central Staffordshire Conservative Federation, both of Castle Street, Stafford, ST16 2ED repaired properly and resurfacing programmes are delivered so our roads are safer for everyone who relies on them every day. Protecting local decision-making. Many residents are concerned about proposals that would merge local councils into larger, more remote authorities. Decisions affecting our villages should be made locally by people who understand the area, not by distant bureaucracies. Our candidates will continue to stand up for local accountability, protecting the independence of our borough and ensuring that the voices of residents in Loggerheads and the surrounding villages continue to be heard. Graham and Andrew are pragmatic, principled local people – focused on results that make a real difference to everyday life in Loggerheads, not empty promises.
