In Maria's own words

Stevenage is my home, and home to many of the people I love most in the world. I was born and raised here, and have been shaped by the grit, determination and compassion of our diverse community.

I've also seen so many who are already struggling be forced, again and again, to bear the brunt of funding cuts and questionable policy decisions, while their concerns are dismissed or ignored, in a system that is no longer fit for purpose. I joined the Green Party to challenge this failing status quo with solutions that focus on the voices and needs of working class people; Stevenage was once ahead of its time in this regard, and I believe it will be again if we work together.
