In Stephen's own words

Dear Residents,

National polling is consistent: **the majority of people want change**—and I think that reflects what many in our community are feeling too.

I’m Stephen Price, a local parent, a leader in the education sector, and your candidate in the upcoming election. My children have been educated here in Norton, I work mostly from my home in Oldswinford, and I’ve been a school governor at Redhill.

I am standing to be your councillor for Norton because I care about community. **I am committed to being a strong and effective representative**—someone who listens, brings fresh ideas, and works hard to deliver meaningful change.

- **An inclusive, transparent and collaborative approach**: I bring an open, inclusive, and collaborative approach to work. In my early career, as a scientist working on wildlife health, I worked with researchers from 16 countries and published reports with more than 100 other people. As a civil servant, after the pandemic, I was the technical lead for a major government data sharing project (between Ofqual, the DfE and UCAS). **I believe in working together to get things done and being open about how decisions are made. The Green Party doesn’t tell me how to vote.**

- **Leadership and transformation**: I have led teams for public and private organisations, building capability, engagement and shared ways of working. **I am good at finding new ways to do things that help organisations overcome challenges** because I lead on the design, delivery and communication of new solutions.

- **Making sure local people have their say and are proud of this area**: I am a board member of Stourbridge Community Land Trust, supporting the development of sustainable, comfortable, and affordable homes for local people. **I think our area is best served by working together as a community**, whether that be on housing, energy or transport.

You will be voting for one councillor representing Norton on Dudley council. **I can win here and will work hard to do the best job for you and our area.**

Yours sincerely,

Stephen Price
