Councillor Candidate
Tessa Cornell

Tessa Cornell

Labour candidate for Sutton South

Labour

I've lived in Sutton for most of my life, having been born in St Helier, and I attended local primary and secondary schools. I've been involved in various local campaign groups for nearly twenty years with specific interests in human rights and the impact of inequality on people's lives. I'm a member of Unison and work in Higher Education, so have seen at first hand the impact of fees on the aspirations of students who would like to attend university. I want to ensure that our local services are not eroded further and that St Helier is saved on its current site.
