Councillor Candidate
Nick Gardiner

Nick Gardiner

Conservative candidate for Blunsdon and Highworth

Conservative

I am proud to be standing as the Conservative candidate to represent Blunsdon, Highworth and our local villages following the retirement of popular Councillor Alan Bishop. Having served as a Highworth Town Councillor for 8 years, Highworth Mayor in 201 7, a school governor and various local charity and community roles, I have shown I have the experience to make a difference. As a family we have been heavily involved with supporting the Highworth market, volunteering at the annual May Day and Christmas Lights events, various groups for young people, community litter pics and The Link Magazine. I am a strong voice against inappropriate development and I am an active member of the 'Save The Golf Course Group.' I also understand the importance of protecting the character of our wonderful villages: Blunsdon, Castle Eaton, Hampton, Hannington, Hannington Wick, Inglesham, Sevenhampton & Stanton Fitzwarren. I will also work with the respective local Town & Parish Councils, press for the final areas to get superfast fibre broadband, support the amazing Blunsdon Community Shop, the Highworth High Street and all the local village pubs. I would be very proud to represent our community alongside Justin Tomlinson MP, Cllrs Vijay Manro & Steve Weisinger - a strong team. I very much hope you will use your postal vote to vote for me - I will be a hardworking, visible and approachable Councillor.
