Dominic Robert Perry

My name is Dominic Perry and I'm your Green Party candidate for Bolehall. I've lived in Tamworth since 2022 and it's been a great place to settle down and grow some roots. A lot of the other parties are focusing on national issues and government, which is important, but it's lacking those day to day issues that impact local residents. It's been hard to miss the state of the roads surrounding Tamworth, it's like driving around a Mario Kart track at times, and it's time that Staffordshire County Council are held to account for this and these roads are fixed. Equally, getting around Tamworth shouldn't be difficult or expensive. The public transport for residents can be unreliable and costly, even just getting to the town centre. It needs better co-ordination, more frequent routes and affordable fares, because everyone deserves simple and reliable access to work, shops and essential services. Tamworth has a strong community, and I will fight for fair funding and responsible choices with public money, so that Tamworth's services, spaces and shared assets are protected for everyone. It's been hard to escape rising energy costs, and keeping homes warm in winter and cool in summer has never been more important. Well-insulated homes don't just cut costs, they improve health and quality of life too. I will help to build upon the £3.2m investment with the Equans partnership, to improve housing and support further upgrades to insulation and energy efficiency. Residents should be able to save money, while reducing their environmental impact, because a greener town should also be a happier and more affordable town. As of course, we wouldn't be the Green Party without a focus on protecting green spaces too, ensuring these, the rivers and the canals remain clean, and protected for all to enjoy.
