Christian Peoples Alliance candidate for Springbank

I have lived at my address in this ward for 32 years, and love the locality and its heritage. I have authored local history publications. I work for a charity and also as a long-distance driver. I'm especially passionate about schooling, - what we can do better for the next generation, including universities. You might ask: Why a "Christian" political party? Isn't that sectarian, or divisive? Well, all political parties are sectarian and divisive by definition, in that they define what things they consider acceptable and what things they consider unacceptable. The Biblical jargon is distinguishing between what's righteous or unrighteous. Supporting marriage and family life is high on our priorities. You can check our party manifesto on :www.cpaparty,net - we've been a fully-fledged national party since 1999 and have a fully-fledged economic policy. I do see some political parties making the right noises about Christianity. I also see some other political parties who want to tolerate everything as long as its defies or denies the Biblical God. So, battle lines are drawn, and we do have this genuinely wonderful system of the ballot box, so, hopefully people will vote according to their consciences. A quick summary of some of CPA's practical policies: To support marriage and families; Respect for life; Fight poverty and homelessness; care for the poor; Restore GP fundholding; Make tax fair; Save our city centres by getting rid of commercial rates; We stand with Israel, and support its right to defend itself. How is this paid for? - Introduce a Turnover Tax, offset against Corporation Tax, so British companies would pay less; meanwhile, recover tax off big multinationals; Cut pointless QUANGOs, saving at least £50bn per year; Remove social requirements - such as diversity schemes - for government contracts.
